COLOURDROPS

"What do we know other than heat and shapes?"

A line from a poem I had written in 2025, a teaser for my return to material practice. I'd spent years in front of a screen picking colours. Frictionless, easy, infinite, flat. Millions of colours, somehow not enough. I took it to resin, mixing colour from pigment and ink and occasionally glitter, working with heat and time to create colour with dimension, inspired by and living in the real world as coasters. Drops of colour != Colourdrops. An experiment with conclusive evidence: a shortcut with the same "output" is not the same at all. Time and process as material itself.
